Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Spring Boot + React)
Settlr Global helps founders and companies set up and run their business in Thailand, from incorporation and hiring to payroll, visas, accounting, and tax. We're a small engineering team, so you'll own real parts of the product, not just tickets.
We're looking for someone with 5 to 6 years of experience who's equally at home in a Spring Boot service and a React codebase. Most features here touch the whole stack: a schema change, an API, a screen, and a release. We want you to own all of it.
What you'll work on
- Backend services in Java and Spring Boot, with Postgres, Liquibase migrations, and Kafka for events
- Frontend in React and TypeScript, with heavy use of TanStack Query, Router, Table, and Form
- Code reviews, design discussions, and keeping the codebase clean as it grows
- Shipping to production regularly, working with QA and design along the way
What we need from you
- Strong Spring Boot experience. You know how transactions, JPA, and security really behave in production.
- Strong React experience. You understand rendering, hooks, and how to structure components so they're still easy to work with a year later.
- Real hands-on time with TanStack, especially Query.
- You take SOLID and DRY seriously, and you also know when an abstraction is overkill.
- Comfortable with SQL and data modeling.
- You write tests because they save you time, not because someone makes you.
On AI coding tools
We use Cursor, Claude Code, and similar tools every day. We want people who are genuinely good with them: you break work into pieces an agent can handle, you catch it when it's wrong, and you spend the time you save on problems that need a human. You're the engineer, and the agent works for you. If you're worried these tools will replace you, this probably isn't the right fit. If you've figured out how to get a lot more done with them, we'd love to hear from you.

- Fully remote. You'll need to overlap with Bangkok working hours (UTC+7), so Southeast Asia, India, or nearby time zones work best.
